Steve is a passionate cultivator, entrepreneur, and community advocate helping realize the vision behind Rhizo Remedy. With deep roots in The Finger Lakes region of New York and a lifelong love for the outdoors, Steve brings a hands-on, grounded approach to making Rhizo Remedy more than just a storefront—it’s a space for connection, education, and community support.

As a family man and father of three, Steve values trust, transparency, and genuine relationships. His approach to business reflects these values, creating a welcoming environment for plant enthusiasts, home growers, and curious newcomers alike.

Driven by a mission to destigmatize cannabis culture, Steve works tirelessly to promote responsible cultivation and open conversation. Through grassroots events like The Home Growers Championship, he strives to shift public perception—one grower, one conversation, and one community at a time.

A proud father and husband. Justin spent nine years serving in the Army National Guard, including a tour in Iraq. After transitioning out of the military, Justin found new purpose and healing through the New York Medical Marijuana Program—a turning point that led him down a life-changing path.

Justin, with over a decade of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience, continued honing his passion for the plant and returned to school. While at Finger Lakes Community College, Justin was awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award, proving his drive to excel. Advancing his education at Cornell University, he joined the Hemp Research Team in Dr. Neil Mattson’s lab. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree and was honored with the Henry Schenkel Award for Promise in Floriculture and Ornamental Horticulture.

When not in the garden or the lab, you can find him soaking up the summer sun—on the water or out exploring with family. Stay active with everything from ninja gyms and trampoline parks to mini golf and bowling, Justin is always up for a new adventure.
